I used it to connect a Klipsch Sub-10 Subwoofer to a Yamaha RX-663BL AV Receiver. It worked fine.

Needed to relocate the subwoofer-too close to the tv and causing screen problems. Nice substantial cord-not a techy but no degradation in sound quality-great price.

Like the Belkin HDMI cables that we have purchased this item met and exceeded all expectations. The sound quality through our subwoofer is great.

This cable will significantly attenuate the signal due to its length. If you have a low signal output, you will receive nothing at the subwoofer unless you boost the volume. I tried to use the cable for a regular audio output (digital audio from PC to amplifier) and the signal will not go through. So it is likely to not work with anything else than a subwoofer.
