Great Speaker for damp areas December 17, 2008 I put this speaker in my bathroom above the shower and it sounds great. If you are unable to place two speakers in an area, I would recommend this speaker. It really sounds great. The sound is great and it has plenty of bass, which I was a little worried about.
Great little speaker!! December 16, 2008 I am very impressed with this speaker. I have two of them installed above my pool table. So far they do everything I wanted to do. I mainly use them for background music, but have turned them up and have been impressed with their sound quality. I'm am not an audiophile, but am very selective and I think for how much this speaker costs you are truly getting a great deal.
Polk = Serious October 6, 2008 I bought 7 of these speakers for the ceiling. I came back on here to order one more. Straight up, these speakers aint messing around. If you need a toy speaker, go to radioshack to find the cheap stuff. Polk speakers are for the big boys. I have 5 premium speakers from the 'other' competitor, no comparison. Not even close. Heavy enough that you can feel some bass without a woofer. Add a woofer for gravy. Even my wife confessed that these speakers rock. Crisp highs. Solid mids - these aint bose (I have bose in one of my cars, I am familiar with rubbish). Great price greater sound. End of story.
Polk Audio speakers are the real deal... July 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
So I have need for in wall speakers in 4 rooms...I go out and buy an inferior brand of speakers for cost savings for 1 room. The room sounded like total crap. I then go and invest in 2 pairs of the RCi60 and 1 pair of the RCi6S and they brought the rooms to life. These speakers have spectacular sound and depth. Specifically, the RCi6s surprised me with the quality of sound out of one speaker. I the RCi6s in my kitchen, which also has 10 foot ceilings and the speakers still ROCK the house!
They are also very discrete in the wall when you paint them.
All round 5/5...do not hesitate.
Great value for the $ April 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was looking for speakers to put in my suspended ceiling (basement). The finished area is about 48' long by 15' wide. I wanted the stereo sound in one unit to make the sound more uniform (also easier to run a single 4-wire cable). I installed 3 of these evenly spaced (right down the middle of the room) and it fills the area with sound. I don't think any ceiling speaker will knock your socks off with huge volume. But if you are looking for casual listening, these are great speakers. If going into a suspended ceiling you should get a "tile bridge" to help support them. I also used some inexpensive fiberglass insulation on the joists to help with bass, and keep sound from coming upstairs.
