Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Wow.   May 15, 2007
I have two of these subs in a sealed type 1 box, powered by a Rockford Fosgate Power T10001bd (1000 watt RMS mono amp, killer amp), the subs are 400RMS each, wired to 1 ohm impendence, so they are fully powered. Man. They hit HARD. I actually had to turn the bass EQ down to -6, yes, negative six, because they are so powerful that they drown out the other speakers when I turn it up. My other speakers are nice too, I have a pair of T1693's (110w RMS) in the back, T152's (60w RMS) in the doors, and a pair of T1T's (100w RMS tweeters) by the side mirrors, all fully powered, and the bass can drown them out easily. Absolutely crazy. I listen primarially to rock, screamo, and metal and these subs are PERFECT for drowning out the crap- erm, rap, coming from the car next to me. I can't even keep a ligher lit in my car, the bass waves are too strong.

If you aren't looking for something super hard, I'd recommend one of these subs, its what I started out with, and one is very, VERY nice. Fully powered I easily beat several systems with two 12" subs in the back. The looks of shock were amazing when I showed people what I had in the back after turning it up. They'd all go "THATS ALL THAT'S BACK THERE?!". Put two back there and fully power them, man, its incredible. I'm definitely a fan of Power Rockford Fosgate products, but the Punch 3 is more than I could ever ask for. At about $100 per sub, its a spectacular steal as well. Also, if you plan on fully powering one of these guys, a cap is a must. I'm cranking out about 2,500 watts RMS and I have a 2 farad cap that works just fine for both my sub amp, and my speaker amp.
