Product Description The NewCom QS 760 computer speakers originally sold in stores for $15.95, but through a special buyout you can get the passive version for a fraction of the price. They are magnetically shielded so you can use them right next to any monitor. The QS 760 speakers use a 3" full-range paper cone driver with a foam surround and can handle 5 watts of power. A ported enclosure helps improve the lower end bass response. The QS 760 is the perfect speaker for a low-cost computer setup or an affordable DIY project when joined with a T-Amp. Non-amplified. Factory buyout--limited availability. Specifications: *Power handling: 5 watts *Frequency response: 150-15,000 Hz *Impedance: 4 ohms *Dimensions: 6-1/4" H x 3-1/2" W x 5-1/4" D.

Umm, these are passive speakers November 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
To the two people that posted reviews of low volume. That should be expected. These are passive speakers. This means you need an amplified source to get sound out of them. The port on your sound card does not provide any where near the power required to drive them. They should work well with a T-amp.

These are the worst speakers I've ever owned! They have no volume. But I guess for the price you can't complain. Oh wait I just did! I give it 1 star because of price I guess!
They didn't work... January 27, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Plugged them into several soundcards, and I could barely hear any sound coming from them at all. Plugged other speakers in, and no trouble. I didn't bother to contact anyone about them, since they were so cheap, I figured it was worth the risk. I just don't recommend anyone else waste the few bucks to buy bad speakers. :)
