This little speaker was exactly what I was looking for: something wireless and battery-free that would let me listen to my new sansa without using my headphones. The sound is good, but it's not meant to be used for serious volume. If you just want something simple that you can sit next to and listen to music at a reasonable volume; this is it, if you want something that can really crank out the sound, pick something else. Great product, though, very convenient.

I bought these for my mom for Christmas. My main objective was finding a pair of speakers that didn't require batteries and were compact, i.e. weren't two separate pieces, for easy portability.
Wow.
These speakers pack an amazing punch. The sound quality is great. No distortion even at higher volumes, and the sound is rich and not tinny at all. Very surprising for a passive speaker system. I highly recommend them if you want a break from your headphones or want to share your music anywhere. A great buy.
Great Sound, Small Space, NO BATTERIES REQUIRED! December 29, 2008
I was a little hesitant to purchase these--and wondered WHY the Black and White versions of this speaker cost $10 more than these little gems. Other reviewers on the different colored versions gave somewhat negative reviews, so I hestitated--but purchased anyway. PLEASANT SURPRISE! The sound is good for such small speakers--plus you don't have to worry about batteries, connectors, carrying cases, etc., etc. Just plug in and listen. One note: if you have a volume limit on your mp3 player, disable it, and the sound will be better. It is NOT a home stereo system speaker, and won't fill a room til the windows vibrate. However, for listening at your desk, in your room, or wherever, they are great! I listen to mostly classical music, so depending on what the mp3 player equalizer is set on affects the sound quality. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Don't pay mega-bucks for battery-eating tinny sounding wannabes. Get this and enjoy! One final note: if the color pink does not offend, purchase these over the black or white versions. Why pay more for color?? Great value and the shipping was super-fast. I am a very happy customer with this purchase!
Cute Little Speakers That Actually Deliver November 29, 2008
I found this cute pink little speaker on clearance for $10 at Target. I didn't expect much since they don't even run on batteries, but to my surprise they actually delivered a clear sound with a good amount of volume! They fill up an entire room with music.. Highly recommended.

These speakers are spectacular, and quite cheap if I do say so myself. Just plug into any music device and it starts playing. No need to buy batteries either, they work off of the main device. Take my advise, buy these speakers if you are looking for a small, portable speaker system.
